Hamden Woman Charged In Hotel Fraud Scheme In Wallingford: Police (patch.com) — Hamden readers may want to know that a 30-year-old Hamden woman has been charged alongside a Bridgeport man in an alleged hotel fraud and identity theft scheme centered in Wallingford. Police say the pair used multiple victims' credit card information to pay for a long-term hotel stay in 2025, and both are now free on $50,000 bonds with court dates set in October.

CT developer says flyer misrepresents 150-unit housing plan in Hamden (nhregister.com) — A 150-unit affordable housing proposal off Old Coach Highway in Hamden is drawing neighborhood concern over traffic, wetlands, and building height, while the developer says a circulating flyer misrepresents his plans and fuels stereotypes. Filed under Connecticut's 8-30g law, the project could override some local zoning limits, with Planning and Zoning expected to take it up this fall.
