1. Two CT men indicted in armed robberies. It was at convenience stores and threats were made to use firearms. (courant.com) — Federal prosecutors say two New Haven men have been indicted in connection with an armed robbery at Dix Convenience on Dixwell Avenue in Hamden, where cash, vape devices, and cannabis products were taken and the clerk's car was stolen. They're also accused in a similar East Haven robbery, and now face multiple federal robbery and firearms charges that could bring decades in prison.
2. Hamden Food Collaborative hosts event to fight food insecurity (wtnh.com) — Hamden's Food Collaborative recently hosted "Feeding Hamden, Fueling Action" to spotlight local food insecurity and connect residents with ways to help. Organizers emphasized that seniors living independently are especially affected as rising costs force them to cut back on food. The group, active since 2017, coordinates townwide food distribution and rescue efforts to ensure dependable access to meals.

Amazon seeks approval for drone delivery program in North Haven (wfsb.com) — Hamden residents could soon see Amazon packages arriving by drone if a proposed Prime Air program from North Haven wins federal and state approval. The plan would cover Hamden within a 7.5-mile drop zone, operating daily from early morning to late evening. Supporters cite faster delivery and fewer trucks, while critics worry about noise, privacy, and environmental impacts.
