Backpack Stolen From Locker At Gym In Hamden: Police
Police are asking for help with identifying the suspect who is accused of stealing the backpack and using the victim's debit card.

HAMDEN, CT — Police are asking for help with identifying a suspect accused of stealing a backpack from a locker at the Edge Fitness Club and using the victim’s debit card to buy numerous items. The theft occurred at The Edge Fitness Club, located at 2300 Dixwell Ave. in Hamden, on April 23. A member’s backpack was stolen from a locker, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Smith said the backpack contained various items, including credit and debit cards and police learned that the victim’s debit card was used at Stop and Shop in Hamden. Numerous stolen items were purchased, including gift cards, cigarettes and baby formula, according to Smith.
Police have released store security footage of the person responsible (pictured). Anyone with information is asked to contact Officer Jennifer King of the Hamden Police Department Patrol Division at (203) 230-4030.
