Burglar Stole $8K In ‘Vintage’ Items From Hamden Home: Police
The man is accused of burglarizing a home in Hamden.

HAMDEN, CT — A Milford man is accused of stealing $8,000 worth of “vintage” items from a Hamden home in a burglary this past October, according to police. Hamden Police responded to a Guenevere Court residence on Oct. 15 on the report of a residential forcible burglary, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Smith said investigation revealed that Dustin Ruocco broke the glass inside of a rear door to gain entry into the house. Ruocco then stole “vintage” items that were worth about $8,000, according to Smith.
Det. Mark Sheppard conducted the investigation that led to the application of an arrest warrant for Ruocco.

Ruocco, 47, of Crowley Avenue in Milford, was arrested Dec. on charges of first-degree burglary, third-degree larceny and first-degree criminal mischief. Ruocco, who was detained on a court-ordered $10,000 bond, is scheduled to appear at Meriden Superior Court on Dec. 19.
