HAMDEN, CT — Firefighters quickly extinguished a car fire on Pine Rock Avenue in Hamden on Friday evening. The home sustained some damage in the fire. The fire marshal was on the scene at 813 Pine Rock Avenue at about 6 p.m., according to fire officials.UPDATE: In a Friday night update, officials said the fire marshal has determined an "engine compartment fire extended to two nearby homes and damaged siding."
