Chinese Food Deliveryman Robbed In Hamden: Police

The victim was robbed by two masked men while making a delivery Tuesday night in Hamden, according to police.

HAMDEN, CT — Just hours after a major storm pummeled the town, a Chinese food delivery person was robbed while making a delivery Tuesday night in Hamden. At about 10:30 p.m. on May 15, police responded to Alstrum Street on the report of an armed street robbery, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Smith said the 24-year-old victim was delivering Chinese food to an Alstrum Street address when he was confronted by two men as he approached the front porch. The suspects were described as black males, about 5-feet, 7-inches to 5-9 tall, who were wearing dark clothing and a ski mask.

The victim told police that one of the suspects “pressed a hard object” into his stomach, while threatening to shoot him, according to Smith. The second suspect reached into the victim’s pockets and stole $200 and a cellphone, Smith said. The victim wasn’t injured.
