Click It Or Ticket Campaign Announced In Hamden
Police will be cracking down on seat belt violations with extra patrols focused on promoting safe driving.

HAMDEN, CT — The Hamden Police Department, in conjunction with the Connecticut Department of Transportation, will be participating in the Connecticut Law Enforcement WAVE Program, “WAVE 54 Enforcement Period” through June 3.
Hamden Police will conduct enforcement at various locations, including Mix Avenue, State Street, Washington Avenue and Whitney Avenue, according to Capt. Ronald Smith. Officers will be looking for seat belt violators, as part of the “Click It or Ticket, Day and Night, A Safe Memorial Day Holiday.”
“It is the goal of the Hamden Police Department that these enforcement efforts help to educate the motoring public of the importance of wearing a seat belt,” Smith said. “It could save your life.”
