Click It Or Ticket Campaign Announced In Hamden

Police are cracking down on seat belt violations with extra patrols focused on promoting safe driving.

HAMDEN, CT — Hamden Police are cracking down on seat belt violations as part of the “Click It or Ticket” campaign, held in conjunction with the Connecticut Department of Transportation. The campaign began Nov. 19 and runs through Nov. 26.

Hamden Police will conduct enforcement at various locations, including Mix Avenue, State Street, Washington Avenue and Whitney Avenue, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

“The Hamden Police Department’s goal is that these enforcement efforts help to educate the motoring public of the importance of wearing a seat belt,” Smith said. “It could save your life.”
