Click It Or Ticket Results Announced In Hamden
Hamden Police announce the results of its recent "Click-It-Or-Ticket" campaign.

HAMDEN, CT — The Hamden Police Department issued more than 70 infractions during the recent “Click It or Ticket” high-visibility enforcement campaign. Enforcement efforts began on Nov. 19 and concluded on Nov. 26, according to Capt. Ronald Smith. Funding for the program was granted by the Connecticut Department of Transportation Highway Safety Office.
Smith said Hamden Police issued 72 infractions for seat belt violations. Officers also issued two infractions for moving violations and one person was arrested on the strength of a warrant, according to Smith.
“The goal of the department was to reiterate the importance of wearing a seat belt,” Smith said. “Our officers have witnessed first-hand that seat belts save lives in motor vehicle crashes.”
