Deli Burglarized On Back-To-Back Days In Hamden: Police

Police are investigating after they say the same man broke into the deli and stole money from the register on back-to-back days.

HAMDEN, CT — Police are investigating two burglaries that occurred at Snack Plus, 75 Putnam Ave., on back-to-back days, according to police.

In a burglary on Oct. 18, a “white or Hispanic” man threw a rock through the side window of Snack Plus, according to Capt. Ronald Smith. An undisclosed amount of money was stolen from the cash register.

Smith said the same man apparently broke into Snack Plus on Oct. 19. The front window was “smashed,” before the suspect entered and again stole an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register, according to Smith.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male with “close cropped dark hair” and was wearing a sweatshirt and jeans.
