Discolored Water Alert In Hamden
Officials are advising residents of why they might see discolored water in Hamden.
HAMDEN, CT — Officials say the Regional Water Authority is doing seasonal flushing of their pipes, which is creating brown water in some households on the east side of Hamden and other locations.
“If your water is discolored, you should call the RWA and report it to them for their system and to ensure your issue is properly noted at 203-562-4020,” officials wrote in a post on Facebook. “Also, please visit the RWA website for their guidance for usage, especially if your immune system is compromised.
“Their work should be complete this afternoon and then homeowners should run all water locations to flush your own water pipes to clear up the water.”
