Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Bust: Hamden Police

Police say the man was found with heroin and cocaine during a traffic stop.

HAMDEN, CT — A Hamden man was arrested after police say he was found to be in the possession of heroin and cocaine during a traffic stop. The Hamden Police Department Street Interdiction Team concluded a “drug investigation” with the arrest of Gabe Rudolph, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Smith said Rudolph was seen traveling southbound on Dixwell Avenue and was pulled over at the intersection of Dixwell Avenue and Arch Street.

A search of Rudolph’s vehicle led to the discovery of: 18 wax folds of heroin – 6.0 grams; 11 bags of cocaine – 7.6 grams and 20 bags of crack cocaine – 6.6 grams, according to Smith.

Rudolph, 58, of Church Street in Hamden, was charged with three counts of possession of narcotics and three counts of possession of narcotics with the intent to sell. He was detained on a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on June 26.
