HAMDEN, CT —Jim Pascarella, endorsed Democratic candidate for State Representative in the 88th Assembly District, received endorsements Friday from both the Connecticut Education Association (CEA) and the Hamden Education Association (HEA).

In the letter issued by the CEA, President Sheila Cohen stated as reasons for their support Pascarella’s record and commitment to teachers and public education and his existing and on-going relationship with Hamden education groups and the teachers of Hamden.

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of not one, but both of the professional organizations representing educators,” Pascarella said. “I have worked very hard to protect and improve Hamden’s educational assets, from buildings to teachers to students. I think my record of supporting public education in Hamden, fighting for the town’s fair share of ECS funding and working to preserve teachers’ rights and pensions proves that experience matters in this election.

“I am humbled by the faith educators and teachers have put in me, and pledge to work as hard as I can for world-class education in Hamden.”
