HAMDEN, CT — Police are asking for help with identifying a woman accused of assaulting an employee in the drive-thru at Kentucky Fried Chicken in Hamden. Police responded to Kentucky Fried Chicken, located at 1499 Dixwell Avenue, on Feb. 24 on the report of an assault, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Smith said investigation revealed that a customer was waiting for their food order in the drive-thru lane. Moments later, a black woman, 25 years of age, “tall and slim” wearing a black coat “pulled her vehicle” in front of the customer and exited, according to Smith. A verbal dispute ensued and the KFC manager instructed his 22-year-old employee to “see what the problem” was, Smith said.

As the employee intervened, the woman grabbed her hair and began punching her in the face, Smith said. The employee suffered several injuries, including to her face, lip and fingers, while the female suspect fled from the area in a gold vehicle.
