Ex-Employee Burglarized Business Twice: Hamden Police
A former employee is accused of burglarizing a Hamden business on two occasions, according to police.

HAMDEN, CT — A former employee of WB Mason in Hamden is accused of burglarizing the business on two occasions, according to police. The first incident occurred on Dec. 1 when Darren Bowman forcibly entered WB Mason, located at 2460 State St., through a rear door and stole keys to a company truck, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Smith said Bowman, 24, drove the truck for a couple of hours before returning it. During the second burglary, which occurred the next day, Bowman is accused of forcibly entering through the same door and stealing supplies, including bottled water and paper towels, according to Smith.
Officer John Glass conducted the investigation that led to an arrest warrant for Bowman.

Bowman, of Foote Street in Hamden, was arrested Jan. 14 at police headquarters. He was charged with two counts of third-degree burglary, two counts of second-degree criminal trespass, sixth-degree larceny and using a motor vehicle without the owner’s permission. Bowman, who was detained on a court-ordered $25,000 bond, is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Jan. 25.
