Fines Forgiveness Scheduled for Hamden Libraries

HAMDEN, CT — (From Hamden Public Library): In conjunction with Random Acts of Kindness week, Hamden Public Library announces Fines Forgiveness Days from Feb. 11 to Feb. 16 (Monday-Saturday). All three library locations (Miller Memorial Central Library 2901 Dixwell Ave., Whitneyville Branch, 125 Carleton Street and Brundage Community Branch at 91 Circular Ave.) will forgive fines for each overdue item that is returned accompanied by an item of non-perishable food to be distributed to Hamden families through the Food Bank.
There is no limit on the number of items that may be returned or the total amount of fines that will be forgiven. However, Fines Forgiveness will apply only to overdue fines on items that are returned during that week, pre-existing fines cannot be forgiven. Collection fees and charges for lost or damaged items will not be waived. For more information, call the Miller Library Circulation Department at 203 287-2682.
