Gunmen Threaten Driver, Leading To Multi-Car Crash: Hamden Police
A driver crashed into 5 parked cars and a tree while trying to get away from two masked gunmen during an attempted robbery in Hamden.

HAMDEN, CT — A driver crashed into five parked vehicles and a tree while attempting to get away from two masked gunmen in an attempted robbery in a parking lot earlier this week. At about 9 p.m. on Nov. 19, Hamden Police reported to 300 Pine Rock Avenue on the report of a motor vehicle accident, involving multiple vehicles, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Smith said investigation revealed that two New Haven residents were in a parked car waiting for a friend inside the private parking lot. Moments later, they were approached by two masked men, who were both in the possession of a gun. The suspects threatened to kill the occupants of the vehicle, according to Smith.
Fearing that they would be “robbed,” the driver attempted to flee in his vehicle and subsequently struck five parked vehicles before colliding with a tree, Smith said.

The suspects are described as males in their 20s, 5-feet, 7-inches to 5-11 tall with a thin build and wearing dark clothing.
