HAMDEN, CT — A recent Quinnipiac University Poll found that about half of voters think President Donald Trump is a racist.

The poll found that 51 percent of voters said Trump is racist while 45 percent said he wasn't. Among white voters 46 percent said he is a racist and 50 percent said he is not. Among black voters 80 percent said he was a racist and 55 percent of Hispanic voters also thought he was racist.

"While half of voters think President Donald Trump is racist, religion shows an even bigger divide. Only 21 percent of white Evangelicals believe the President is racist. Compare that to 63 percent of voters who don't affiliate with any organized religion," said Mary Snow, polling analyst for the Quinnipiac University Poll.
