Hamden Announces Christmas Tree Collection Schedule

HAMDEN, CT — If you haven’t taken the ornaments off your Christmas tree yet, there’s still time to take advantage of the town’s curbside Christmas tree collection.
The Public Works Department will begin picking up natural Christmas trees on Monday, Jan. 9.

Trees should be free of all wrappings, lights and decorations. Pick-up will be town-wide.
Artificial trees are not included in this pickup and may be disposed of during the bulk trash months of April and October.

Residents may also take their discarded trees, both real and artificial, to the Transfer Station at 231 Wintergreen Ave (open Mon. - Fri., 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month from 8 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.).
