Hamden Community Collaborates To Place Flags For Veterans
Community members will be placing American Flags on the graves of Veterans as part of the upcoming Memorial Day Weekend.
From The Town of Hamden: Mayor Curt Balzano Leng announces that the Hamden Veterans Commission, with the help of Hillhouse ROTC, the Hamden Boy Scout, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Brownies, will be placing American Flags on the graves of Veterans as part of the upcoming Memorial Day Weekend. Also assisting will be the members of VFW #10321, American Legion Post #88, and the American Legion Baseball team.
This was made possible with the help of Beecher and Bennett Funeral Service, Howard K. Hill Funeral Service, Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, Peter H. Torello & Son, and Miller Association of Seniors.
If your Veteran’s grave does not have a flag by May 28th, please feel free to stop by and pick one up at the above sponsors or at Mayor Leng’s Office in the Government Center, located at 2750 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden CT 06518.
