Hamden Firefighters Pull Car from Lake Whitney

A car jumped the guardrail and plunged into the water on Sunday night.

A car was removed from Lake Whitney Sunday night after it jumped the guardrail and safety fence before landing in the water, according to WTNH New 8.

Firefighters were called to the scene on Waite Street around 8:30 p.m.

WTNH reports the driver, who wasn’t identified, was able to get himself out of the car and met firefighters at the top of the hill.
