Hamden Man Arrested At Court On Multiple Charges: Orange PD

The accused was arrested while at court on an unrelated matter.

ORANGE, CT — A Hamden man has been charged with multiple offenses dating back to 2016, police said. Police say they learned that Terrance Jackson, 21, of Hamden, would be at Derby Court on an unrelated matter and served a warrant held by Orange Police.

The warrant stemmed from a larceny incident in October 2016 when officers discovered two stolen vehicles on Brierwood Drive, police said. One of the vehicles contained a loaded firearm, police said. Officers made an arrest of a juvenile at the scene at the time of the original incident.

Further investigation led to the issuance of a warrant, and Jackson is charged with first-degree larceny, theft of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit, carrying a dangerous weapon, and possessing a weapon in a motor vehicle.
