Hamden Man Stole Video Game Controllers from Kohl's: Orange Police

Police say the man was stopped at the door by store security.

ORANGE, CT — A Hamden man is accused of stealing $131 worth of video game controllers from Kohl's in Orange, police said.

Officers responded to the Kohl’s store on Bull Hill Lane regarding a shoplifting complaint on Dec. 7.

Officers learned that the arrestee, Conrad Covington, 47, of Hamden, had taken $131 worth of video game controllers from the store without paying, police said.

He also damaged the packaging during the theft, police said. Store employees had stopped the arrestee outside the store and detained him for police, police said.
He was subsequently taken into custody and charged with sixth-degree larceny and second-degree criminal trover.

He was initially held on a $500 bond.
