Hamden Police Arrest Town Man, Seize PCP in Drug Bust
About $5,750 worth of PCP was seized in the arrest.

As the result of a lengthy drug investigation, the Hamden Police Department Street Interdiction Team arrested a Hamden man on several drug charges and seized about $5,750 worth of PCP, Capt. Ronald Smith said in a press release.
Carl Myers, 32, of 39 George Street, was arrested Jan. 19 after he was found to be in possession of 11 folds of PCP following a motor vehicle stop in the parking lot of a business located in the area of Dixwell Avenue and Morse Street.
Smith said further investigation led to the search of Myers’ girlfriend’s apartment, located at 112 Burke Street, where officers seized a large quantity of PCP inside of the residence. Police seized 575.1 grams of PCP, which has an estimated street value of $5,750, according to Smith.

Myers was charged with possession of a hallucinogenic substance, possession of a hallucinogenic substance with the intent to sell and risk of injury to a child. Myers, who was detained on a $50,000 bond, is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Feb. 4.
