Hamden Police Seek Suspects in Armed Robbery, Assault of Morse Street Resident
The female victim suffered significant facial injuries in the robbery.

The Hamden Police Department is seeking at least two suspects, and possibly a third, in the armed robbery of a Morse Street resident.
Police responded to the scene at about 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 18 on the report of an armed robbery, Capt. Ronald Smith said in a press release.
Smith said that the 35-year-old victim advised officers that as she approached the exterior rear door of her residence, two individuals assaulted her and stole her money. She said that one of the individuals grabbed her neck and pushed her.

The man then struck her in the face with a firearm and the suspects subsequently fled on foot toward Newhall Street with $160. They were observed entering a silver Nissan hatchback, which was possibly operated by a third individual.
Smith said the victim suffered significant facial injuries and was treated at the scene by Hamden Fire Rescue.

The individual that was in the possession of the firearm is described as a dark-skinned male in his 20s, 5-feet, 11-inches tall, 160 pounds with “distinct” brown eyes.
The second individual is described as a dark-skinned male in his 20s, 5-11, 210 pounds, who was wearing a mask.
