Hamden Police Recover Stolen Vehicle, License Plates and 9mm Ammunition; Suspect Arrested
The 19-year-old suspect has been charged with stealing vehicles in Hamden and North Haven: BREAKING.

HAMDEN, CT — A 19-year-old Hamden resident has been charged with stealing vehicles in Hamden and North Haven.
Hamden Police Officer Mark Sheppard observed a stolen motor vehicle parked in front of a First Street residence at about 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 11. The vehicle was unoccupied, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Shortly thereafter, Sheppard observed Terrance Jackson briefly enter the stolen vehicle.

“Several officers subsequently approached Jackson and arrested him in the common hallway of the First Street residence,” Smith said in a press release. “In addition to the stolen vehicle, officers recovered several stolen license plates and a 9mm ammunition magazine.”
Jackson, of West Helen Street, Hamden, was arrested on charges of first-degree larceny, misuse of plates, operating under suspension and theft of a registration plate.

Jackson, who was detained on a $10,000 bond, is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Sept. 26.
Jackson was also wanted by the North Haven Police Department on an arrest warrant. He was charged on Sept. 12 with stealing an SUV during the overnight hours in North Haven.
