Explore science at the Hamden Public Library as we partner with the Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History to offer science programming via Zoom. Participants benefit from the latest findings regarding local geology, evolutionary biology, and climate change. The next Zoom program is What is wrong about Rocks? Common Misconceptions about Geology, Wednesday, March 24, 6:30 to 7:30. The presenter is Melissa Halstead.

Melissa Halstead will explain geologic time, why earthquakes happen and how fossil fuels form with illustrations and easy-to-understand language. Bring your curiosity and your questions! Melissa is a Master's Candidate in the Yale School of the Environment.
