Hamden Robbery Suspect Charged After New Haven Police-Involved Shooting: PD
The man rammed into cruisers in an attempt to flee and was shot by officers, State Police said.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A New London man was charged by State Police with attempted assault after he rammed his vehicle into two police cruisers Sept. 6, according to police.
Kenneth Palmieri, 50, was shot in the arm by New Haven Police after he crashed into the vehicles. He was cornered in a Church Street South housing complex parking lot when police approached, according to an arrest warrant.
State Police took over the investigation because it was a New Haven Police-involved shooting.

Palmieri was a suspect in Guilford, Hamden and New Haven robberies that night, police said.
He was charged with reckless endangerment, criminal attempt at first-degree assault, interfering with police and operating a vehicle under suspension. The charges came on Jan. 19 through an outstanding warrant.
