Hamden Weather: Much Colder Headed Into Weekend

With Daylight Saving Time passed and darkness falling sooner, winter isn’t too far away. The forecast this week in Connecticut is largely uneventful, except that it begins to turn much colder by the weekend with high temperatures only into the 40s.

And as we all know by now, the state needs some rain, a lot of rain, and the only chance for rain over the next seven days is some showers on Wednesday. The weather won’t be a factor in not getting out to vote on Tuesday, as we’re looking at sunny skies, and the warmest day of the week, with high temps into the 60s.

WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons wrote on Facebook that, “after a cold start, quiet weather is expected today with high temperatures in the 50s. Dry and warmer tomorrow for Election Day with temperatures in the 60s. Some light rain expected on Wednesday!”

Here’s a detailed look at the weather forecast via the National Weather Service:

• Monday: Sunshine, temps in the mid 50s.
• Election Day: Sunshine temps in the low to mid 60s.
• Wednesday: 30-40 percent chance of rain showers, mostly cloudy and temps into the upper 50s.
• Thursday: Mostly sunny, high temp in the mid 50s.
• Friday: Mostly sunny, high in the upper 50s.
• Saturday: Much cooler, with a high temp in the mid to upper 40s.
• Sunday: Mostly sunny, high temp in the upper 40s to near 50 degrees.
