HAMDEN, CT — A scholarship has been established in honor of former two-term Hamden Mayor Craig B. Henrici, who died in 2018, the Board of Directors and staff of the Hamden Regional Chamber of Commerce announced on Tuesday. The Craig B. Henrici Scholarship Fund will be given to a graduating Hamden High School senior who is a participant in boys or girls hockey, has a GPA of 3.3 or greater and demonstrates excellence in service and leadership, according to officials. Special consideration will be granted to those in the National Honor Society.

An attorney by profession, Henrici served 16 years on the Town Council, and as Council President for 14 years. A true community advocate, Henrici also led the Chamber as Chairman of its Board of Directors, as well as serving as a Board member for many years.
