House Fire Extinguished In Hamden

HAMDEN, CT — Crews extinguished a house fire on Springdale Street in Hamden Monday, according to fire officials. Crews were on the scene around 12 noon. No injuries were reported.

"The fire was confined to the exterior of the home," fire officials wrote in a post on Facebook. "Engine 2 was the first unit on scene, with a 3 minute response time. No injuries have been reported. The Fire Marshals office is investigating. No one was home at the time of the fire, which was reported via 911 by the next door neighbor."
