Items Stolen from Hamden Vehicles Located in North Haven, Suspects Arrested: Police

The two teens were seen entering vehicles in various driveways in North Haven. Police said they also had active juvenile arrest warrants.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — Two New Haven teens were arrested late Monday night after police said they had stolen items out of vehicles in North Haven and Hamden.

A Hartford Turnpike resident called North Haven Police after seeing two individuals entering cars parked in various driveways around 10:50 p.m. on Dec. 19.

Officers responded and located two juveniles, who were 15-and-16-year-old New Haven residents. Police said the teens were found to have stolen items from North Haven and Hamden victims. Both boys had active juvenile arrest warrants in New Haven.

North Haven Police issued the teens a juvenile summons prior to New Haven Police taking them into custody.

Police said the juveniles were located near Buckingham Lane, but the stolen items were taken from a vehicle on School Road.

“We would like to remind North Haven residents to lock your vehicles and report any suspicious activity in your neighborhoods,” police said in a press release.
