‘Laughing’ Man Fires Shot Into Air: Hamden Police

Police are investigating a report of a shot fired late Tuesday night and three people laughing while walking away after the incident.

HAMDEN, CT — Police are investigating a report of a shot fired in Hamden late Tuesday night. At about 11:55 p.m. on Oct. 10, Hamden Police responded to the 300 block of Goodrich Street on the report of shots fired.

Capt. Ronald Smith said investigation revealed that three individuals, one male and two females, were walking eastbound on Goodrich Street. Upon approaching Goodyear Street, the man “pulled out a gun” and fired a shot into the air.

Smith said all three were seen “laughing” as they continued on Goodrich Street.
