Longtime Hamden State Senator and Wife Win CT Lottery
Which sounds better to you, this or re-election?

WOODBRIDGE, CT — To say state Sen. Joe Crisco Jr. (D-17th) and his wife, Patricia, are fortunate individuals is an understatement.
The couple have six children and 18 grandchildren, and last week they added a win of $100,000 from the Connecticut Lottery to their blessings.
According to lottery officials, the Criscos, who live in Woodbridge, won the money playing the "$1,000,000 Diamonds" scratch-off game. They split the winnings in half.

"Patricia Crisco and Joseph Crisco Jr. did claim a $100,000 prize on a scratch game, which they split in half," lottery officials wrote in an email to Patch, adding that it was a second-place prize. "Our website reflects both their names and their $50,000 portion though it was won on one ticket."
They bought the ticket in Meriden at A & S Quik-Pik on East Main Street, which is also in line for a small cash prize for having sold a winning ticket.

Just what the Criscos intend to do with the money is unknown; Patch tried to reach the senator on Monday but was unsuccessful. His state Senate district includes Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Bethany, Derby, Hamden, Naugatuck and Woodbridge.
Whatever they decide, Congratulations Sen. and Mrs. Crisco!
