Man Carjacked At Gunpoint: Hamden Police

The man was carjacked while he was warming up his vehicle early Tuesday morning on Helen Street, according to Hamden police.

HAMDEN, CT — A 26-year-old man was carjacked at gunpoint while he was warming up his vehicle early Tuesday morning in Hamden, according to police.

The carjacking happened around 5:50 a.m. on Helen Street, according to police Capt. Ronald Smith.

The man told police he was warming up his vehicle when the driver of a black BMW pulled up next to him. Two men got out of the vehicle and approached him, he said.

One of the men approached the driver’s side door and pointed a gun at the man while his accomplice searched the vehicle, according to Smith.

Smith said the victim’s vehicle, wallet and cell phone were stolen. The man was not hurt.
