Man Accused Of Selling Cocaine In Hamden: Police

Police say the man was found to be in the possession of 17 bags of crack cocaine with the intent to sell.

HAMDEN, CT — A New Haven man was arrested Wednesday after police say he was found to be in the possession of 17 bags of crack cocaine. The Hamden Police Department Street Interdiction Team concluded a drug investigation with the arrest of Desean Scott, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Scott, 30, was arrested in the 900 block of Dixwell Avenue. He was found to be in the possession of 17 baggies that contained crack cocaine, according to Smith.

Scott, 30, of Shepard Street in New Haven, was charged with possession of narcotics with the intent to sell. He was released on a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at Meriden Superior Court on March 4.
