Man Arrested For Robbery At Krauszer’s: Hamden Police
Police say the man pushed a 60-year-old customer into a glass window while running out of the store after robbing a 19-year-old of his phone

HAMDEN, CT — A Hamden man has been arrested in connection to a robbery that occurred inside a Krauszer’s Food Store last month. Hamden Police responded to Krauszer’s, located at 1959 State Street, on Oct. 9 on the report of a “street robbery,” according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Smith said investigation revealed that the 19-year-old victim scheduled a meeting with an individual, later identified as Dandre Deshields. The victim planned on selling his cellphone to Deshields.
“While inside the store, Deshields grabbed the victim’s phone and ran,” Smith wrote in a press release. “Prior to exiting the store, Deshields pushed a 60-year-old customer into a glass window. The customer suffered an injury to his elbow. The victim then confronted Deshields in the parking lot. Deshields subsequently ‘punched’ the victim in the head, before fleeing his motor vehicle at a high rate of speed.”
