Man Arrested For Robbing Dunkin’ Donuts: Hamden Police
Police said the man handed a note to the cashier that said he wanted "the money" and that he had a gun.
HAMDEN, CT — A New Haven man has been charged with robbing a Dunkin’ Donuts in Hamden in April, according to police. Hamden Police responded to the Dunkin’ Donuts, located at 1950 State St., on April 23 on the report of a robbery.
The store clerk told police that a Hispanic male handed her a note that said he wanted “the money” and that he was in the possession of “a gun,” according to Capt. Ronald Smith. The cashier then handed him an undisclosed amount of money, Smith said.
Det. Scott Levenduski conducted the investigation, which led to an arrest warrant for Jose Cubiz.

Cubiz, 41, of Prospect Avenue in New Haven, was arrested May 15 at Meriden Superior Court. He was charged with first-degree robbery and sixth-degree larceny. He was arraigned later in the day.
