Man Burglarized Business In Hamden: Police

The man is accused of stealing several thousand dollars' worth of power equipment from a Hamden business, according to police.

HAMDEN, CT — A Stratford man is accused of stealing several thousand dollars’ worth of power equipment from a Hamden business, according to police. Hamden Police responded to K and J Tree Removal, located at 2485 Whitney Avenue, on Aug. 13 on the report of a burglary, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Smith said investigation revealed that several trucks were forcibly entered. Numerous items were stolen, including chainsaws and leaf blowers, and the loss was estimated at several thousand dollars, according to Smith.

Stratford Police had taken William Bradley into custody on Aug. 22 and he was found to be in the possession of items that were stolen in the Hamden burglary, according to Smith. Further investigation led to the discovery of multiple tools, including power equipment, Smith said.

Detective Donald Remillard conducted an investigation that led to an arrest warrant.

Bradley, 40, of Wiklund Avenue, Stratford, was arrested Jan. 2 on charges of third-degree burglary and third-degree larceny. He was detained on a court-ordered $15,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Jan.
