Man Burglarized Gas Station In Hamden: Police

The man was arrested after a lengthy investigation, according to police.

HAMDEN, CT — A New Haven man has been arrested in connection with the burglary of a gas station in Hamden nearly a year ago, according to police.

The burglary happened Oct. 16, 2019 at Wheel’s Citgo at 1624 Dixwell Ave., according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Police found that Ronald Doval broke into the business through the front door, Smith said. Officers responding to the burglar alarm ran after Doval, who eventually left the scene in a vehicle, according to Smith.

Det. Robert Dunham conducted the investigation that led to an arrest warrant for Doval.

Doval, 44, of Clay Street in New Haven, was arrested Oct. 8 at Meriden Superior Court and charged with third-degree burglary and interfering with a police officer. He is scheduled to appear at Meriden Superior Court on Dec. 3.
