Man Burglarized Home In Hamden: Police
The man is accused of breaking into a home and stealing money from an upstairs bedroom, according to police.

HAMDEN, CT — A Hamden man is accused of burglarizing a home on Wednesday morning and stealing money from an upstairs bedroom, according to police. At about 10:15 a.m. on Dec. 12, Hamden Police responded to a New Road residence on the report of a burglary, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Smith said investigation revealed that Joseph Conte Jr. forcibly entered the residence through a basement door. Once inside, Conte went to an upstairs bedroom and stole money, according to Smith. Det. Joseph Liguori obtained information that quickly led to his arrest.
Conte Jr., 37, of Whitney Avenue, was charged with third-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny. Conte Jr., who was released after posting a $10,000 bond, is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Dec. 27.
