Man Charged In 2014 Home Burglary: Hamden Police
Police say the man was arrested following an extensive investigation.

HAMDEN, CT — A Norwich man has been arrested in connection to a burglary that occurred more than five years ago in Hamden, according to police. On April 30, 2014, three men entered a home on Dest Drive through an unlocked door while the homeowner was in an upstairs bedroom, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Smith said the homeowner confronted one of the subjects, Lawrence Benson, who was in the possession of a gun. Benson and his two accomplices then ran out of the home, according to Smith.
Det. Brian Stewart conducted an extensive investigation that led to an arrest warrant for Benson, which was served at Norwich Superior Court on Aug. 27, Smith said.
