Man Charged In Hamden Shooting: Police
The man was arrested on a warrant in connection with a shooting in Hamden earlier this year, according to police.

HAMDEN, CT — A Bridgeport man is accused of shooting a Hamden resident earlier this year, according to police.
Tayvon Geter, 29, was recently arrested on a warrant in connection with a shooting that happened in the 300 block of Putnam Avenue on Jan. 21, according to police Capt. Ronald Smith.
A 30-year-old Hamden resident was shot in the leg and taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital for medical treatment, Smith.

Detective Jomo Crawford conducted an investigation that led to an arrest warrant for Geter.
Geter, who had been taken into custody by Bridgeport Police, was arrested Feb. 22 on charges of first-degree assault, criminal possession of a firearm and carrying a pistol without a permit. He was held in lieu of a $500,000 bond with a court date of May 4.
