Man Charged With Multiple Burglaries In Hamden: Police
The man was arrested for his involvement with three separate burglaries in town and for violation of probation, according to police.

HAMDEN, CT — A Hamden man has been arrested in connection to three recent burglaries in town. Joseph Conte Jr., 37, was arrested Jan. 11 for his involvement in three separate burglaries that occurred between Nov. 26 and Dec. 12, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Smith said that on or about Nov. 26, Conte burglarized a Pinewood Road residence. He forced entry through a basement door and stole several pieces of jewelry, according to Smith.
On Dec. 4, Hamden Police responded to a burglary at a New Road residence. Investigation revealed that Conte forced entry through a side door and stole jewelry, Smith said.

On Dec. 12, police responded to a New Road residence on the report of a burglary and investigation revealed that Conte forced entry through a basement door, according to Smith. He is accused of stealing several items, including money.
Detectives Joseph Liguori and Donald Remillard conducted the investigations that led to arrest warrants for Conte.

Conte, of Whitney Avenue, was charged with three counts of third-degree burglary, two counts of sixth-degree larceny and fifth-degree larceny. He was additionally arrested and charged with violation of probation. Conte is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Jan. 25.
