Man Charged with Stealing Dirt Bike in Hamden Burglary: Police
Police say a detached garage of a Hamden home was forcibly entered and a dirt bike was stolen earlier this summer.

HAMDEN, CT — A Meriden man is accused of breaking into a Hamden residence and stealing a dirt bike earlier this summer, according to police.
Nicholas Gagliardi, 23, of Clearview Avenue, Meriden, was arrested Friday on a warrant for the June 23 burglary, according to Hamden Police Capt. Ronald Smith.
Smith said investigation revealed that the detached garage of a Helen Street residence was forcibly entered and a dirt bike, valued at $500, was stolen from the garage.

Officer Christina Giori conducted an investigation which led to the application of an arrest warrant for Gagliardi.
Hamden Police arrested Gagliardi at the New Haven Correctional Center on Aug. 12.

Gagliardi was charged with third-degree burglary and fifth-degree larceny. He was detained on a court-ordered $35,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Aug. 26.
