Man Hospitalized After Shooting In Hamden: Police

The shooting victim was "uncooperative with police," according to officials.

HAMDEN, CT — A 30-year-old man was hospitalized after being shot in the leg Thursday evening in Hamden, according to police.

Police responded to a parking lot on Putnam Avenue around 6 p.m. on the report of a shooting, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

The victim, a Hamden resident, was found sitting inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound to his leg, Smith said.

He was “uncooperative with police,” Smith said.

Hamden Fire Rescue personnel provided medical assistance at the scene and the victim was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital, according to Smith.
