Man on Parole Found with 52 Bags of Heroin, 14 Bags of Crack Cocaine: Hamden Police
The man was arrested following a traffic stop, according to police.

HAMDEN, CT — A traffic stop led to the arrest of a suspected drug dealer and the seizure of 14 bags of crack cocaine and 52 bags of heroin, according to police.
At about 6 p.m. on Jan. 2, the Hamden Police Department Street Interdiction Team concluded a drug investigation with the arrest of Anthony Oden, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Smith said Oden’s vehicle was observed traveling in the area of Fitch Street and Arch Street and a motor vehicle stop was conducted.

Oden, who is on parole, was found to be in the possession of 14 bags of crack cocaine, according to Smith.
A search of his vehicle led to the discovery of 52 bags of heroin, Smith said.

Oden, 44, of Shepard Street in New Haven, was arrested on two counts of possession of narcotics and two counts of possession of narcotics with the intent to sell. Oden is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Jan. 17.
