Man Pointed Gun At Ex-Girlfriend: Hamden Police
The man is accused of pointing a gun at his ex-girlfriend after a dispute, according to police.

HAMDEN, CT — A Hamden man is accused of pointing a gun at his ex-girlfriend after a domestic dispute, according to police. Hamden Police responded to Warner Street on Dec. 11 on the report of a “man with a gun,” according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Smith said investigation revealed that the 30-year-old female victim was involved in a domestic dispute earlier in the day with her ex-boyfriend Alphonso Dixon. Soon after the dispute, Dixon saw the victim and her friend on Warner Street and “drove his motor vehicle towards them at a high rate of speed,” according to Smith. Dixon then pointed a gun at them, Smith said.
Officer Jennifer King conducted the investigation that led to an arrest warrant for Dixon, who was arrested Jan. 23 at Meriden Superior Court.

Dixon, 31, of Newton Street, was charged with first-degree threatening and second-degree breach of peace. He was arraigned at Meriden Superior Court later in the day.
