Man Robbed At Gunpoint In Broad Daylight: Hamden Police

Police are investigating after a man was robbed of his wallet and cellphone at gunpoint.

HAMDEN, CT — A Wallingford man was robbed at gunpoint while meeting a relative Sunday afternoon in Hamden, according to police. The robbery occurred at about 3 p.m. on Sept. 15 while the victim, a 30-year-old man, was standing on Pine Street to meet a relative, according to police.

The victim told police that while he was waiting, a four-door silver Honda with tinted windows pulled alongside him. A man got out on the passenger side and pointed at gun at the victim and stole his wallet and cellphone, according to police.

The suspect was described as a light-skinned black male with a “young face” and about 5-feet, 9-inches tall. The Honda fled from the area toward Dix Street.
