Man Robbed At Knifepoint In Broad Daylight: Hamden Police
Police say the man was robbed while putting groceries into his car.

HAMDEN, CT — Police are investigating after a man was robbed at knifepoint in broad daylight while putting groceries into his vehicle Sunday morning in Hamden. Police say the robbery took place around 8 a.m. on April 22 in the parking lot of 2335 Dixwell Avenue in Hamden.
A 47-year-old North Haven resident was placing his recently purchased groceries inside of his vehicle when he was approached by a person who was holding a knife, according to Capt. Ronald Smith. The suspect demanded the victim’s groceries and cellphone.
The victim surrendered his groceries and then “screamed” for help, Smith said. The suspect ran away and entered a red Ford Fusion with Connecticut registration AB47088. The suspect was described as a black male, 18 to 21 years old, 5-feet, 10-inches tall with a thin build and short curly hair.

The vehicle (pictured), which was operated by a heavy-set black female, was last seen traveling on Dixwell Avenue, according to Smith.
